I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Xerox in Feb 2007
Interview
I was referred from an internal employee. I had already applied for the job on-line. Once I was referred the recruiter called me for a breif interview that was more informal. They wanted to know the basics, like my previous job experience, why I wanted to go into sales at Xerox.... Then I had to take a long and very extensive online servey and personality test- this took about 2-3 hours to complete. Afterwards, I interviewed with my manager. This was very easy and I was only asked simple questions. The entire interview lasted for about 30 mins. I also did a phone interview with his manager. Afterwards, I sent thank you emails and was called and offered a position.
Bottom line, if you can get a referral you shouldn't have too much trouble getting an interview and proceeding from there.
