Interview
It was a one on one in person interview with a slate of standard questions. The questions were asked in a polite and respectful manner and the interviewer was delightful.
Casual interview that focused on learning about past volunteer experience and educational background that will benefit the performance of the tasks at hand. Very clear description of standard and expectations as well as how to attain them.

Informal interview where you just answer the questions that they have. There were about 10 questions I believe, and afterwards, you have a chance at asking the interviewer any questions regarding training/role.

Interview
There was a long paper application to fill out with personal reference contacts requested and a written section on why you wanted to volunteer. The YWCA of Northwest Georgia (now liveSAFE Recourses) did not contact any of the references or use any information in the long application other than general contact information. A background check was done and this seemed to be all that was used.

Question 1
I was never really interviewed except in one location by one person who ran that particular area. It was on the spur of the moment questioning. It was really interesting since no other intern/volunteer I worked with had this happen to them. Based on the questioning and what other volunteers said it was clear that this person ran the office as if it was her office instead of a position at the YWCA. One intern said that when this person went on vacation a situation came up that the other staff person did not know how to handle and it was an issue since no one else knew the answer. This verified that the head staff member had knowledge that was not easily accessible to staff and volunteers in their absence.
