I was really looking forward to my interview with this company. Excited to be a part of a woman owned and operated company. However, my excitement quickly disappeared when I barely reached the phone screening part. Internal recruiter responded to my application in a timely manner which was great. However, the phone screen requires a 30 min time slot and with no availability after 3PM PST. I feel like that could be a huge problem for any candidates who are seeking new employment but still care about their current job and tasks. Having said that, I still want to give this company a chance and I even allocated 30 mins from my work day to hop on a basic phone screen with the internal recruiter. However, I didn’t receive any calls from her at our scheduled time, but only to receive an email from her stating that she called my number several times but I have no voicemail set up. I thought that was strange because I literally got off another phone interview 10 mins prior to our scheduled time. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because these things happen, I thought it was an error on my end when I input my phone # for the interview. However, I checked the input number and noticed that it was correct. I even included my number again in my reply, letting her know that I will be available within the next 20-25 mins but only to get a reply from her saying that is not possible because she has another interview in 20 mins. She did asked me to reschedule but most of the time slots were filled and no available time after 3PM, which brings back to my original issue of candidates that can only interview after their current job operating hours.
