I applied online through college career website and was contacted about a month after by HR to set up a phone interview. Phone interview was on time and very brief, about 20 minutes, and the woman I was interviewing with just basically filled me in about Yelp and the position. She didn't really ask me any questions, just why Yelp.
The next day I received an email letting me know that I was selected to move on to the final round interview in their office in New York. At that interview I met with 3 different people.
The first interviewer just went over my resume and then I did a mock sales pitch with a pizza store. He then gave me tips on how to improve.
The second interviewer, again went over my resume, and then I did a mock sales pitch to a hair salon owner who decided not to use yelp advertising. She then gave me tips on how to improve.
The last interviewer just asked me to sell him my phone. The point of this pitch was to get him to take order. He then gave me tips on how to improve.
A week later I got an email saying they decided to go with another candidate.
