Overall, the recruiter was very nice, but the whole interview process was the worst I have ever had. Lots of work, calls/emails, stressful, they made it very hard. Some manager even said (while rolling their eyes) “digital marketing is not marketing”, and questioned why I want to interview for the job if I am passionate about marketing. 1. Recruiter reached out to me, and I talked to the recruiter for 30 minutes on the phone. The recruiter was very nice. 2. Recruiter called again to schedule video interview with HM. 3. 30 minute Video interview with HM, she seems nice, asked some questions. 4. Recruiter emailed the next steps, had to do a case study, scheduled another video interview. 5. Video interview with case study solution, where they asked weird questions like “digital marketing is not marketing, why are you even interested”, and I felt disrespected. I use the Yelp APP sometimes, but after this bad experience, I don’t think I want it use it anymore. Besides, Google Map has much better UX, faster process time, and it’s easier to navigate with Google map.

I was contacted via LinkedIn about a role. I checked out the description and said I'd be open to an initial conversation. The person who contacted gave me the calendar of the person I was to interview with. I booked a time and we spoke for 30 min. She had a list of questions which were straightforward and which I answered well because she said she would put me on to the next person and that this call would be about an hour. 5 days later...nothing. On the 6th day, I get an email from the original recruiter. It had someone else's name and it was encouraging me to apply for the position....Sloppy and unprofessional. Got to love the double standard. I chased up the person I spoke with but never heard back. Pretty lackluster experience.
