I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp in Mar 2025
Interview
Disappointing interview process. Had to do a homework assignment and give a presentation in addition to video interviews and got zero feedback. Was told I’d be a good fit for another role, but they wouldn’t refer me to the recruiter, so I had to cold apply and ultimately never even got a screen. Honestly, this company has a lot of negative feedback from past employees, so it might have been a blessing in disguise

Question 1
They asked me twice what I had been doing since being laid off, which given the economy I thought was intrusive and unnecessary
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2024
Interview
I got roadblocked by a 10-month tenure associate manager who interviewed me. They showed up 15 mins late, spent almost no time with me, and suggested I apply to the USA Today instead. This was insulting after a month of enthusiasm from the recruiter and 7 years of experience and recognition in the industry.
