The interview process is broken down into 5 steps:
Step 1: Quick Assignment and Job Application (~1 Hr)
Step 2: Information Session (1 Hr)
Step 3: Longer Take Home Assignment (1 week to complete + a few weeks of follow up questions)
Step 4: HR Phone Interview (30 minutes)
Step 5: Final Round Interviews (~4 to 5 hours)
The first assignment is easy and should not take very long. The information session is very informative and should give you a really good idea as to whether the job and company will be a good fit for you. The largest component to the interview process, and the hardest, is the Step 3 take home assignment. This assignment is a concrete example of the type of day to day work you may be doing in the data specialist role. You are given a week to complete this assignment and you should use as much of that week as possible. After you submit the assignment they may reach out to you with follow up questions and you should give these a sufficient amount of thought and effort as they provide you additional information to use to clarify or adjust your answers. If you pass the take home assignment you will move on to the interviews, which are relaxed and more conversational. The interviews are a great opportunity to get to know people you may be working with and to ask any questions you may have about the position or the company. If you pass the interview process you will be asked for 3 references as the final step.

The interview process was very structured and conducted in a professional manner. First there was a talk with HR, and after that I had to a take-home assignment to assess some analytical skills. After it was approved, I went through a technical interview with a case study, and after that I went through two more interviews to assess soft skills and talk about my prior experiences in more detail.

Interview
The process had several steps, which made it a bit exhausting at times. That said, all the interviewers were very kind and easy to talk to.
Most of the interviews seemed focused on making sure I clearly understood the role and how I would approach the work.
In total, the process included one screening interview, a take-home assignment, one technical interview, and two HR interviews.
Recruiter did not inform me that the interview will be recorded and transcribed using a 3rd party AI tool. A few days before the interview, I received a spam email from the AI company that went into my Promotions folder, informing me that YipitData uses it to record interviews. Despite declining it from the email and checking with the recruiter, I decided not to proceed with the interview. Be careful, as they are a market research company, you never know how they will use your personal data
