      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yotpo (New York, NY) in Sep 2017

      Interview

I had an initial call with the internal recruiter and then a Skype call with the VP of Marketing in Israel. A few days later, I was brought into the NYC office to meet with the CEO, VP of Sales, VP of Product/Marketing, and Head of Talent Acquisition. Everybody was very pleasant. I was told that a cultural fit was more important to the company than experience. They were apparently looking for more experience on the strategy side but questions were more focused on results I achieved and what teams I would work with versus actual strategy. I was asked to send writing samples, however, this was one of the few companies I've been interviewing with that did not ask me to complete a writing or strategy exercise pertaining to the company. After I received my rejection email, the recruiter offered to speak with me on the phone to provide me with more feedback. I've had companies offer this in the past but then not follow through so I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to chat. This gave me a chance to provide my feedback and also to hear what their team had to say which is invaluable info for my future interviews. I'm extremely grateful to them for this feedback.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What aspects of your last role kept you happy in the job? Can you describe a media campaign that you've worked on that you're most proud of? Which teams do you see yourself working with the most here? If you were to start tomorrow, what are some of the first things that you would do?
