      Sales Development Manager Interview

      Aug 6, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yotpo (New York, NY) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Interviewing at Yotpo was done in 3 parts. Phone, In-person, Final in-person. I was interviewing for a manager role on the sales side. I was reached out to by a Sales Leader on LinkedIn which led to a phone call. From there I came onsite . I met with 5 people onsite, from sales leadership, sales ops, and recruiting. It was great to meet someone from sales ops to get another perspective outside of the direct sales team. I was able to see how the sales team is supported from an ops side. All the questions throughout the on-site were good and pertinent to the job. They took care of me between interviews offering me snacks, bathroom time, and drinks. I was really impressed with their head recruiter who asked excellent questions and explained a lot about the culture. She also knew a great deal about my exact role which is not always the case. I was also able to meet the CEO which was great considering the company is over 150 people here in NYC. Overall great candidate experience. (Small note: they don't have a "reception/lobby area" so you do have to grab someone's attention) After the first in-person interview, I was given a business plan assignment. I put a lot of effort into it and I think it showed very well during my final in-person interview with another 5 peopple. I met with the Global SVP of Sales and was able to ask some very in-depth big picture questions which helped me understand the path the company was heading down. I was also able to present my business plan and meet some of the people I would be managing (always a good thing). At the end of the experience I knew the company would be a great fit. I had told them earlier that I would need some time to finish my other interviews. They were respectful of my timeline and allowed me to do so. At the end despite some other very compelling offers, Yotpo's offer and interview experience really made the decision easy. I'm so excited to join and can't wait for what's to come.
