I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ZS Associates (New Delhi) in Dec 2017
Interview
I applied for campus placement.
Before interview there were 2 elimination rounds:
1st was online test containing usual quant, english, logical reasoning and data interpretation question and 10 question were from computer science fundamentals like output of programs and basic data structure question. There were no negative marking. Speed was important. 190 were selected for 3 profiles out of about 400.
Next round was video interview round on TalView. Some HR question, question regarding working in groups and about 3 technical questions were asked. Questions were displayed on screen and we were required to speak for minimum of 2 minutes. There were 3 very basic question which needed to be typed in and 8 questions whose answer we had to speak.
90 out of 190 were shortlisted after this round for 3 profiles whose interviews were conducted on campus.
In campus everyone was provided with a case study booklet to solve in 30 minutes. For my profile the case study contained lots of data in form of tables. We had to answer the questions by writing SQL queries or simply mention the logic/algorithm.
After you solve the case study there was face to face interview where discussion of the case took place. The interviewer asked logic for all the questions and pointed out mistakes and asked for other solutions. There were some guesstimate questions and puzzles too. This was also an elimination round.
The last round was sort of HR round were he asked questions about my CV and some puzzles were also asked. They also checked my knowledge about the company and the profile. Basically they wanted to check if I am really interested in joining the company and staying with them for longer duration.
Overall the interview experience was quite smooth. They basically check your logic and thinking ability and also help you out if you are stuck somewhere. Just ask them for little guidance and interact with them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What will make you happy in life. For example you have turned 70 years old, you have grandchildren now, looking back in life what would make you happy.
Lengthy and time consuming but process is very good nothing casual and systematic I cleared 3 rounds and in the last round I didn't get positive feedback. So process was nice but we can't say how they judge you even in the last round and reject you.
