This is for ZS Pune office. Applied for internship + PPO via college placements.
Round 1: Initially there was an online (competitive coding type) coding round having 2 coding questions (for 20 marks and 50 marks). Questions were randomly assigned from a pool of questions by the coding platform (difficulty level easy-moderate level and was roughly same for everyone).
Round 2: There was a case study round. All of the shortlisted candidates were asked to hop on to a zoom call and after a quick briefing, 3 questions were displayed on the screen for an hour. We had to answer any 2 questions of our choice (could be in code, pseudo code, a flowchart, an English explanation or diagrammatically). One question was to design a data structure for a problem. The second question was to design an algorithm. The third question was to design database tables when attributes were given. Answers were to be scanned/typed and mailed within an hour.
Round 3: We had a technical interview. Questions were based on understanding of data structures and algorithms. Interview was on a zoom call. It was pretty chill and pseudo-code was also fine. Questions were mainly based around logic and approach to solving problems, concepts of object-oriented design and data structures and operations that can be performed on them.
Candidates were further shortlisted based on performance in rounds 2 and 3.
Round 4: Technical interview where interviewer asked detailed questions about the two solutions written in round 2. Also, a few questions were asked about tech-stack familiarity.
