Great experience throughout the entire interview process! I was first contacted by Jessica J. for the initial screening interview who provided me a link to her calendar for a quick chat. I quickly set up the meeting and was able to connect in less than a week. Her energy was a breath of fresh air compared to some calls I’ve recently been on! She provided a great overview of the company and recent leadership changes and where the company was headed for the near future. She asked about my experience and I provided details that were related to this position and it was a great conversation. I was unsure of the salary range so when she did ask my requirements it was a bit more than what this position was budgeted for. She mentioned that she would check and see if there was any wiggle room and went ahead and set up my next call with the hiring manager for the role. My next interview was with Chelsea who was amazing - and had been with the company for roughly 10 years. She explained what she was looking for in the person she hired and we went through my experience with examples to relate to the role. I enjoyed my conversation and was hoping to advance to final interviews but unfortunately this role had a salary cap and they couldn’t meet what I was hoping to earn. I told Jessica due to my experience interviewing with them I hoped to be considered again in the future for other roles. The good news is they recently had some new job openings and I reached out to Jessica and will be chatting with her again to learn more! This job market is tough enough as it is and so if you are fortunate enough to land an interview with a company like Zayo who genuinely cares, keep following up and hopefully you land something soon too! Regardless of the outcome it’s not what someone says to you it’s how they make you feel which is why I circled back to them for consideration again :)
