Utterly bizarre experience. Received an email from Talent Acquisition asking me to book in using their scheduler for the first round with the hiring manager, which I did (sometime in Dec). On the day itself, the hiring manager did not show up, so I sent him an email following up. I received a note from Talent Acquisition saying the hiring manager had to go on leave urgently and to rebook in January. This was not a problem. I rebooked to the interview for the next available date through the scheduler. Two days before the interview, the hiring manager sent me an email saying the interview should not have been scheduled and that they had found someone. As someone who was interviewing for senior roles at the time, I was surprised at the unprofessional treatment. The role is still being advertised.
