      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zerto (Boston, MA) in Jul 2017

      Interview

I submitted my resume via the website and was contacted by the recruiter almost immediately (and seriously, when does that happen?) We set up a phone screen within a few days and we had a great conversation that really got me excited about the company and the culture. Right after the call, the recruiter connected me with the hiring manager for another phone screen. After another great call with the hiring manager I worked with the recruiting coordinator to set up a time to come in for the in-person meetings (all the while, the hiring manager continued to check in with me to make sure that I didn't have any additional questions and that I felt supported - I truly felt like she was invested in my success and experience at Zerto and I hadn't even received an offer yet!) After working around a couple of summer vacation schedules I came into the office about 2 weeks after talking to the hiring manager. The in-person meetings began with an office tour that reaffirmed my sense that this was a great culture/friendly place to be. During the day I proceeded to meet with 4 different members of the team one on one. At the end of it all I met again with the hiring manager and then the recruiter walked me out and asked me how it all went (this was also the point where the recruiter told me about all the amazing Zerto perks such as monthly commuter reimbursement, free catered lunch Mon - Thurs, 4 weeks of PTO to start and more free snacks than you could ever dream of.) She said she would be in touch within a day or so and she was in touch that afternoon (again, when does that happen?) She basically told me that everyone was happy with me and that I had one more meeting left with the CMO for later in the week. The recruiter explained that this was part of the process and that Zerto takes cultural fit very seriously and it's protocol for the department head to vet every single team member. The call with the CMO went well and the recruiter called me within minutes of hanging up to let me know she had my offer in hand and she would be sending it over. I had to go through everything with my husband and needed a few extra days to review it all before accepting - the recruiter was completely understanding and answered my countless questions in the days that followed (even the ones that felt a little ridiculous on my part!) The recruiter could not have been more patient and available to me throughout the interview process - from the beginning I felt like she was selling Zerto because she genuinely was so happy and she believed in the business and the people. I came from a not so great company and coming here has been a breath of fresh air from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about the interview process and the recent months that I've been part of this team! It probably will come as no surprise to anyone that the recruiter has continued to check in with me periodically since starting to see how I'm doing - such a great experience all around and it keeps getting better!
