Overall interview process was fine. However, a few things I didn't really enjoy:
1. Interview round with kinda random questions, for example geometry or algebra problems from high school. That was a senior role interview, but somehow probes a knowledge that an undergrad student would crack much faster. Recalling that stuff on the spot after not having used it for last 15 years is tough and seems unnecessary.
2. System design questions are deeply tailored to self driving - which from one hand makes sense, from the other they claim they are hiring people from all ML/CV backgrounds, while question clearly 10x prioritize those who has at least a year in the industry.
3. C++ "implement & fix existing bugs in 10 minutes" - you are presented with a code snippet (like 2 pages) and need to fix bugs live. Given it's nothing close to embedded engineer role not sure why so picky on specific language.
