The first round of in person interviews was really positive. However when I was asked to come back for the second round, the tone completely changed. The sales manager is not welcoming, unfriendly, condescending and presumptuous. I felt that he was constantly challenging my desire to work for the company because he made up his mind that I was not a good fit before getting to know me. And I feel it had a lot to do with my gender as there are no women in leadership roles there. And the women I did meet are very timid and young. it was enough insight for me to realize that I was probably interviewed to meet some kind of quota internally for investors, but would not become a part the boy's club there. It is a harsh reality, so if you are a female I would not have high expectations even if you are qualified.
