      Sales Operations Analyst Interview

      Mar 27, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Jose, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zscaler (San Jose, CA) in Sep 2015

      Interview

Its a panel interivew almost a day. Make sure you prepare well. You go through few one on one rounds then you go through panel interview where you have people from different domains asking questions around your resume and other experiences on your resume. It also depends on the position you apply for.

      Application

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter followed by an interview with the hiring manager. I felt the interview went well. The worst part of this was that I was ghosted by the recuiter. Also, strangely I noticed that they changed the job title and reposted the role. To me it appeared that the hiring manager didn’t know what exactly she was looking for or wanted. My overall impression of this place has tanked and I wouldn’t bother applying here again. It was just a complete waste of my time and recruiter is unprofessional for just ghosting.

      Sales Operations Analyst Interview

      May 18, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Singapore
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zscaler (Singapore) in Apr 2020

      Interview

The recent reviews stating a negative experience interviewing with Zscaler come as no surprise. After my initial phone screen with the recruiter, they emailed me saying that I had been moved on to the next round, which was supposed to be an hour long interview with a director of sales operations. About an hour before my interview, I received an email from the recruiter requesting to reschedule the interview and that they would get back to me in a couple of days with a new date and time. The reason they gave was that it was quarter end, which seemed a bit strange, because as far as I know, quarters end in March not April. I waited a week for the recruiter's response and followed up to indicate that I was still interested in the position. I received no reply and woke up to an auto-generated email the next day with a standard rejection template one would expect to receive immediately after submitting an application (NOT after a phone screen, being put through to the next round and then being asked to reschedule). I emailed the recruiter for feedback considering how strange this was, which of course they did not bother giving. If you're going to tell a candidate they have an interview and they spend hours preparing for it only to find out that they actually aren't going to be interviewed, the least you can do is make an effort to give personalized feedback or make up a better excuse to reject them. Overall a very unprofessional and unpleasant recruiting experience for a company that is such an established industry leader.
