I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zynga (Bengaluru) in May 2019
Interview
A day long process, if you clear subsequent rounds. Total had 3 technical rounds and a wait of 1/2 - 2 hours between each, excluding lunch times. ALL WERE PURELY FROM DATA STRUCTURES AND ALGORITHMS.
First round was good, the gaming question asked was of a fairly good standard, the interviewer was precise and upto the point.
Next rounds were not pleasant. Questions were not very difficult, but i was asked to write full code in any language, which was painful for hands, especially when you have written pages of code , at which point they change the conditions. The questions were'nt clear too. They should have asked the logic and at the max - psuedocode. Also the interviewer gives the problem and disappears, only to reappear after an hour and say his expected outcome was different. It was de-motivating to sit in the same room alone for hours expecting the next course of action, at which point your enthusiam dips and feel like leaving the place ASAP.
After all this they said the HR round will be conducted after 3 days.

Question 1
1. Gaming problem : (downsized pacman) you have a 2-d grid and a maze of paths in it. there are fruits on the path. given the position of player x,y in the path at a particular time & a distance d, give the fastest way in which you can fetch the list of all fruits that can be reached by the player, going through the path from x,y in d steps.
3. design an autocomplete feature, when user types text, give the list of all words in dictionary starting with that text. optimize time complexity and write 'full code'
I completed the hiring questions panel with a current employee and someone from HR and then did a timed coding assesment that lasted an hour and was mostly data structures and algorithms.
