They asked me how I’d explain technical concepts to the business in a way they’d understand, basically how to break down the tech without overwhelming them. They also wanted details on my experience with specific technologies their clients are looking for. The toughest part? Selling myself as a consultant. I had to explain what I think makes a good consultant, why I’d be good at it, and why I’m choosing consulting over a permanent role. That part felt like a mix of self-promotion and mindset alignment, which isn’t always easy to nail.
