I applied via employee referral to a bunch of positions, and finally got set up for a phone interview. After confirmed for a phone, It was moved to another day noon time. I didn't receive a call, but rather an email a few minutes after my scheduled interview time saying that they just found out that they filled the position and is canceling the interview. It was rather annoying to be accommodating and to find out that they filled the position before I even got a chance to even interview. The interaction with HR was not unpleasant nor was it rude when they cancelled the interview but I felt it was rather unprofessional as a company to essentially lead me on.
