Interview
Applied online
About 5 days later- I Received an email from HR to set up phone interview. The phone interview was straight forward. She asked basic experience and then explained the role. The recruiter wasn’t as transparent on the role and took a long time to respond. I was told I’d receive the project the next day, but I didn’t get follow up until 4-5 days later. It kinda left a bad feeling about this company. Everyone seemed a little over worked.
About 5 days later- I Received a project and was scheduled for my next interview with the team. I had four interviewers and the time slot was for about 2 hours.
The interview with the team was very odd. They basically just entered the chat and basically asked me to start going over my project. No introduction or questions about myself or them. I had no idea who was who in the interview because of this until half way thru. They didn’t seemed engaged and was very vague on day to day responsibilities. I felt like I was interviewing them the whole time but they were extremely short and didn’t want to elaborate. The 2nd part was somewhat the same. They seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The person interviewing was very close to the camera and you could really only see their mouth. They also mentioned how they had problems with multiple other employees but they respected them. That comment did not come off genuine and I believe she over shared. To me this showed signs this is probably toxic work environment. They also mentioned everyone switches roles a lot. Which is ok but if you are consistently switching people titles every six months it doesn’t seem like a stable company.
My application is still pending but if they were to offer a position I would decline.
Interview people were fine but won't follow up on time. Completely unprofessional after 6 interviews!! Have some decency to let the person know when they invested so much time. It doesn't take long to send one email.

Interview
Phone screen, one round of interview (would get decision after first interview). What threw me off was the automated “we have decided to go with other candidates” email. When you are at the final round of the interview, you would hope you get a personable message explaining why you didn’t get the job. Companies need to do better when rejecting applicants.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you currently do and how does it relate to the role you are applying to?
Made me go through 3 rounds without giving me an answer. Absolutely horrible communication skills from the recruiter and the hiring manager. Despite follow up emails she didn’t have the decency to reply to say if I was still in the consideration or not. Glad I didn’t end up working here.
