I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at athenahealth (Watertown, MA) in Oct 2015
Interview
1st round was with HR. It was a 15 minute behavior interview over skype. After that round I was emailed an excel project to complete and had to prepare a presentation. Second/final round was an on-campus. The visit was 3 hours and included a tour of the facility, project presentation, and interview with 3 employees (associate, senior associate, and manager). Overall the experience was very positive and everyone that I met was very nice and seemed to genuinely love their job.

Why athenahealth?
Why this specific department?
run though resume.
Interview people were fine but won't follow up on time. Completely unprofessional after 6 interviews!! Have some decency to let the person know when they invested so much time. It doesn't take long to send one email.
I applied online. I interviewed at athenahealth (Maryland City, MD) in May 2024
Interview
Phone screen, one round of interview (would get decision after first interview). What threw me off was the automated “we have decided to go with other candidates” email. When you are at the final round of the interview, you would hope you get a personable message explaining why you didn’t get the job. Companies need to do better when rejecting applicants.

Question 1
What do you currently do and how does it relate to the role you are applying to?
Made me go through 3 rounds without giving me an answer. Absolutely horrible communication skills from the recruiter and the hiring manager. Despite follow up emails she didn’t have the decency to reply to say if I was still in the consideration or not. Glad I didn’t end up working here.
