I received an offer, which was out of the range I gave them, but not by far. So, I tried negotiating with the CEO, telling him that the offer was unbalanced and proposed a number, so that I could be in the range I gave him during our exploratory call. He told me he'd call me the next day to discuss. He didn't call so I had to contact him. He told he'd call me the next day, and apologized for being very busy. When he called me the next day, he said they couldn't raise the salary and took the offer out of the table. Then, he added: "we went through your application again and were not happy with you asking for a negotiation. You're not European, you're not an engineer, and we've had issues with people from your country before. So, we are withdrawing the offer''. Then he wished me luck and hanged.
