I gather that the most important aspect is how convincing you are and it is not necessarily only about knowledge and experience but most of all about how you appear. You might be smooth talker with a convincing tone. You will have to make decisions from day 1, regardless if you know much about company or not. Much as it sounds completely unreasonable, the answer: Yes, I will be able to make decisions after I get to know company ... is not good enough. You have to do it immediately. I had a feeling that the marketing department is somewhat trapped in a sense of having a small budget and grand expectations for deliveries.
