I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at eBay (San Jose, CA)
Interview
Worst experience with a recruiter. Went through 4 rounds of interview. In the last panel interview, I was told I would hear back from the recruiter the following week. No word from recruiter after 2 weeks. Recruiter finally emailed me to ask for my availability, so I gave her a few slots in my calendar. No response but still blocked my calendar just in case. No call from the recruiter. I followed up the next day and recruiter didn’t even respond.
The position posted on LinkedIn was very misleading. Requirements and duties as advertised were entry level. The more I went through the interview, the more I found out it was not entry level. I was fine with this since I had the experience they were ACTUALLY looking for. Not sure where the disconnect happened internally about this role.
The team I interviewed with was nice and very professional.
Why even ask for a candidate’s time when you’re not even going to show up or at the very least send some sort of communication to let the candidate know??
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at eBay (New Delhi) in Feb 2026
Interview
Very bad experience. Interviewers should be considerate and have courtesy. Which they totally lack. Very disappointed. Junior level folks taking Interview for Manager level. Seems like the team process does not have a proper outline. Still a backend team in FP&A with no business exposure.
4 rounds
1 round of phone screening + 1 round of sql coding + 3 rounds of behavioral questions and culture fit checks
interviewers are all pretty nice, no pressure tests
