It has been a while since that interview, but I do remember talking a lot about utility rate structures, strategies for changing building occupant behaviors and being able to speak to stakeholders with varying understanding of energy management.

Q1: If an analogue clock starts at 1:05, when will the minute hand cross the hour hand again (more about explaining how you get there) Q2: 1000 people (including you) take part to a raffle, where you can chose a number between 0 and 100. The one that gets closest to 2/3 of the average picked value wins. Which number do you pick. Q3: Question about graph theory. if you have a let's say 5x5 grid, how do code a script that will find the fastest way from the start point to another random point.

The first question showed me a diagram and a chart showing a refinery connected by a pipeline to two countries. The refinery had a certain amount of stored gas, and you had to tell how much oil you needed to send from the refinery to each country each year based on the demand the chart said they had. Note that the second country was connected to the first country, not the refinery.
