Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a situation where a coworker wasn't pulling their weight.
It was a interview with the engineering manager. He asked about typical management questions and the discussion was very fruitful and positive. But after the interview the talent aquisition team mentioned they are looking for SW background. This was a complete shock as there was no question around that.
What was most unexpected for me were the lack of technical questions. Granted that it was a group management position but one of the key elements of that position, in my opinion, is technical understanding. Then heavy hand of the script didn't seem to allow for those types of questions.
