There wasn't a difficult question.
Salary expected even though it was a fixed salary position
Not one specific question, but the sense that they didn't know what they were looking for - more that they were shopping to see what they could get. I had no idea what sort of knowledge/skills/abilities they expected me to demonstrate.
I don't remember, so I can't help here. It was really an easy process.
There were no unexpected questions. I prepared a lesson for the benefit of the current Dean so they could assess my potential to teach at Virginia College. This is my first time teaching.
Although I was not asked these questions, the interviewer said that, for future job interviews, I should expect to be asked questions such as "how would you deal with difficult students," "how would you handle a conflict with a student," and "what's your teaching philosophy."
How would you handle a difficult student in the classroom? Do you have any experience working with ESL students in the general composition classroom?
Did I have teaching experience and why did I want to teach?
How do you handle conflicts?
