Insurance Agent Interview Questions

"When interviewing for a position as an insurance agent, you can expect to be asked about your general knowledge of insurance policies and sales experience, and you may be asked to role-play a few scenarios where you have to sell insurance to various customers. Your employer will want to ensure you have the sales and customer services skills to sell the right insurance policies to the right customers. Licensing requirements vary by state and insurance type, and you should research the job's required licensing before attending the interview."

Nothing was directly asked of me; however, during the group interview I raised several points/ questions that the recruiter really liked and this allowed me to opt out of the 2nd interview with the company and have a direct offer.

The second interview really had no tough questions. Generic questions like "Your proudest achievement?" were as hard as they got. I was asked, however, how I felt about having to spend $330 to get state certified, and would be working only for commission. This is why I declined, personally, too risky.
