Applied for Assistant Manager, got called in for a group interview. It was an informal popcorn interview, we sat on the floor and discussed typical interview questions. The first red flag popped up in the middle of the interview when the hiring manager asked if we had full-time jobs at the moment. Everyone said yes. At the end of the interview, thinking it all went great, she dropped the bomb that some of the interviewees applied for Educator positions and some for Assistant Manager. She also revealed that they did NOT have a position for assistant manager and only SEASONAL Educator positions. She said maybe after the season if you did a good job, they could take you on permanently and start growing within the company. A lot of the people including me had permanent jobs, of course they were not going to leave the security of a permanent job for the lowest rank seasonal position. Very unprofessional and a waste of time.
