I saw that lululemon was hiring for seasonal position and thought it was great to get a little extra money. I applied and heard back a week later. They emailed me asking me to come in that same day, which was very last min for me because I had work that same day as well but I decided to go and I wore all lululemon gear to make a good impression. I got there 5min early but they made me wait 15min because they weren’t ready. While I was waiting I decided to wonder the store and noticed that there were only caucasian people working I felt a little out of place being the only Latina but I let the feeling go thinking It was all in my head. Going into the interview process was very strange, because the manager mumbled to her self “what should I ask you?” The only questions she asked me was “why lululemon”, “what was my goals” and about my availability. She didn’t ask me what I knew about lululemon so I took the liberty to tell her, she seemed pretty impressed. I left thinking it was a very odd interview but believing I had the job, 3 days later I receive a email informing me they decided to go with another candidate. My Overall review is that it was a very unprofessional interview and I also can’t help but think that the color of my skin also had to do with it which is very unfortunate because I didn’t want the rumors to be true but they are.
