The recruiter was late to our phone screen, didn’t acknowledge or apologize for being late. While I understand things happen, people are busy, the senior director was also late to my 2nd interview. Same thing, didn’t acknowledge or apologize so it leads me to believe this is the culture and employees are overworked. When I asked about the salary the recruiter explained she didn’t know the salary since HR was converting from Canadian dollars to US. When she gave a ballpark number - a low one- I explained that’s too low. She said she’d get back to me with more info at the end of the week. She never did and the following week was out on PTO. Funny enough, one of my current colleagues also interviewed for this same position and was given the same response. It sounds to me they are trying to get the lowest asking candidates. My colleague also never got confirmation on what the job’s salary was. Overall, I think what they’re preaching in culture does not match what they practice.
