The role play was the most difficult. I had to "troubleshoot" an issue with two engineers acting as whomever I needed to invoke. They could serve as my manager and answer questions; the field service engineer who could provide details; and really anybody else I needed.
One of the questions that stood out the most to me was the mental exercise of designing a stapler. About half of the interview was spent on the stapler. This caught me off guard because I expected the questions to be more directly related to lighting systems and possibly some home automation since that is what the company produces. In hindsight, I can see that the question was intended to show ones ability to think through a process and solve problems along the way.

The NAS interview was more conversational and didn't have much difficulty. Most unexpected and difficult was in an interview with a different company. I was asked "How would you find a needle in a haystack?"
A circuit is given with a resistor divider feeding a capacitor, which is connected at time t=0. The problem asked to plot the output voltage on the capacitor
