How would you approach X problem
Tell me about a time you walked someone through a technical process. Can you talk about a compliment you received that was especially meaningful to you? Can you discuss a situation where you firmly believed in your point of view and then had to go another way; what did you learn? What do you do when urgent transactional requests mean that more substantial strategic work gets pushed and de-prioritized? Talk about how you took on and led research in an environment of ambiguity. Talk about how you would understand how a survey instrument was received across different cultures. Give a global example where cultural bias played into the work you were doing. Share an example of a project with a very difficult deadline and how you dealt with that. How do you as a researcher include analytics teams in your work?
Questions are based on Leadership principles and in the STAR format
What's your experience
Tell me a little about your skills & work experience- very general basic initial call questions.
Lots of "Can you tell me of a time when you...?" I interviewed with 7 different people in one day and approximately 1/3 of the same questions were repeated over and over, yet they were expecting different answers. The recruiting team did a good job of providing upfront tips and information about the type of interviews, and Amazon is very adamant about hiring the "good fit" and being a "data-driven" organization, but the overall feel of the process was formulaic and impersonal.
I was also asked some research methodology questions, what experience I had and how I liked to work with managers
Where did you go over and above your core job responsibilities?
How do you manage conflicting deadlines How do you influence people
