Everything ran smoothly until my offer letter arrived. The company founder & the employees I interviewed with were lovely. It was pretty obvious they were in the midst of redefining a lot of their role purposes/structure, but I've worked in startups before and it didn't seem out of the ordinary. The biggest red flag came later, when they made it clear that under NO circumstances were employees allowed to work from home. I found this so strange for an online company, and pretty out-of-date for industry standards.

My interview was quite long (1 hour and 15 minutes). It was almost completely technical, related to many mechanical concepts that we have learnt in engineering. They also tested a little on algorithms, mathematics and codings, to test me for the suitability for a new project. From the written test, the answers that went wrong in the technical paper were also discussed. Many questions were put to me from various subjects, also there was a board in the room upon which a few questions and diagrams were discussed. The interviewers were very friendly and knowledgeable too. It was a good, rigourous testing.
