The final phase is responding to feedback and re-editing the same passage. This is where it got a lot stranger. Some of the feedback was sketchy, in terms of accuracy or meaning. In my selection there was a random sentence that came out of nowhere with no context. it made no sense. I noted this and assumed in a real situation you could ask for author clarification. I gave feedback that it made no sense and then was given that same feedback. I changed the sentence and then didn't get the job because "I altered the nuance of author meaning."
