The most unexpected questions for me were when they went into particulars about business journalism. I.e. I was asked which publications I read, to which I replied (amongst others) the Financial Times. I was then asked which journalist I followed the most, which took me by surprise a little bit as I rarely look for a specific column on newspapers, preferring to read thematically. I was also asked if I followed any particular companies in the business world, which I found a bit odd, as I'd imagined journalists should keep an over-arching view of patterns and developments rather than favouring particular companies.
No real difficult questions - aksed about any management experience and work with older adults.
How did you get into event management?
I can divide up my interview to two parts. First part was really focused the vac scheme and I was questioned on the tasks I completed. What was it? How did i contribute? What did i learn? If I would do anything differently. The second part was more about my application. Why NRF? Why should they pick me? The state of the legal market and the competitive edge that NRF has. The practice areas/ sectors that I am interested in, any particular deal in that sector and its significance for the market.
