I had a really positive experience with the interview process at vidIQ. It was all done over Zoom, since it is a remote-only company. I first spoke with the then Director of HR, who’s now the VP of People Operations, and later with the then VP of Finance. Both calls were separate, giving us plenty of time to dive into specifics without feeling rushed. They were interested in hearing about my work with HR and finance, and how I’ve handled the challenges of working across different time zones with a global company. We also talked about my experiences in remote roles and my time with startups, which was really relevant to how vidIQ operates. Both interviewers were professional yet really friendly, which made the whole process feel more like a chat about potential opportunities rather than a stiff formal interview. It was refreshing and gave me a good sense of what the company culture might be like—professional, yet approachable and genuinely supportive.
