Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional aspects.
• Execute manual and automated tests across various environments including mobile applications (Android and iOS), web interfaces, and APIs to validate system functionality, performance, and security.
• Utilize testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, HP ALM, and TestNG for automation efforts; implement continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps to streamline testing workflows.
• Perform API testing using RESTful services, SOAP protocols, and tools like Postman or custom scripts to verify data exchange integrity between systems.
• Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under load conditions; analyze results to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers during requirements gathering to ensure testability; participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Track defects efficiently using defect tracking tools like Jira or TFS; perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and facilitate prompt resolution.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system testing, functional testing, regression testing, and other QA activities to ensure software quality aligns with organizational standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments involving complex systems integration.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, or similar frameworks; scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, or Shell scripting are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Proficiency in testing mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms; experience with mobile testing tools such as Appium is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of databases including MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), DB2; ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats for API validation tasks.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter; ability to analyze system logs for troubleshooting purposes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills for documenting test cases, creating detailed reports, and collaborating across teams to improve quality processes.
