Serving the aerospace, biotech, industrial, research, and semiconductor industries, CVI combines optics manufacturing with precision machining and mechanical design to produce a range of integrated opto-mechanical assemblies. Private equity firm Norwest Equity Partners sold CVI Laser to IDEX in 2011 for about $400 million.
