At Center for Discovery, we have provided eating disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment for adolescents and adults of all genders for over 25 years.
"Center for Discovery (CFD) has changed the face of the eating disorder industry. We took treatment out of institutions and into homes where patients could receive individual attention from therapists, engage in hands-on food preparation with dietitians, and focus on the root cause of the eating disorder. This real-life recovery model, designed for long-term behavioral change, fueled our growth as a national provider with more than 50 treatment centers in 14 states and plans for continued growth in the years ahead.
Over the last 25 years, we’ve become an industry leader by continuing to question the status quo, driving innovative solutions and expanding access to evidence-based care. In recent years, we have witnessed a growing need for our services. The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) reported a 58% increase in calls, texts and social media to its helplines since the pandemic began, with more than one-third coming from teens ages 13 to 17. That’s why we offer a full continuum of care – residential, partial hospitalizations (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and virtual services – and collaborate with thousands of therapists, doctors and clinicians to provide individualized treatment. And when treatment is done, our patients are with CFD for life through our aftercare programs, support groups, alumni app and more.
