Throwback Thursday: This time last year, we were breaking ground on our first-of-its kind underground substation in the City of Cambridge. It's come a long way! 🤩 Together with BXP, Inc., the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) and the city, here's what we've accomplished so far to meet the rapidly growing demand for energy in Greater Boston while also creating new green space for the community: ✅ Installed eight new utility vaults and 4,000+ linear feet of underground transmission duct bank ✅ Started upgrades to our electric system that will include 350+ feet of new duct bank and three additional utility vaults ✅ Reached a final depth of 120 feet for the future home of the nation’s largest fully underground electric substation 🤝 Thank you to all our neighbors, local businesses, and community organizations for your partnership. The input you provided over years of close collaboration helped to shape this innovative approach and made our project better.
