Description INTEGRIS Health was formed in 1994, uniting longtime Oklahoma hospitals into what is now the state’s largest not‑for‑profit, Oklahoma‑owned health system. Today, we operate more than a dozen hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies and specialty clinics, supported by over 13,000 employees and more than 1,900 licensed beds. At INTEGRIS Health, care can take many forms. For Jennifer Nelson, executive assistant at INTEGRIS Health corporate and cuddle care volunteer, it means spending a few quiet hours each week holding babies when their parents can’t be there. After completing volunteer training and additional cuddle care training, Jennifer supports nurses by providing a calm, safe and comforting presence for babies who need it. “I don’t know what led them to be here right now. I don’t know what’s going to happen after I leave. I just know for these few hours I can be calm and safe and loving. And to me, that’s what I have to offer and that’s what they need.” For Jennifer, the experience has been incredibly rewarding and full of joy.
