Mission Our People Health care is about people caring for one another. We are proud of our people, who are nurses, doctors, volunteers and many more: A collection of individuals bound by our mission of good health for all.
Our Patients We offer expert services to our patients across the Portland/Vancouver area and into the Willamette Valley, from wellness to urgent care to advanced surgery. We work with our patients to make sure they understand their care and that they have a voice in improving it.
Our Communities Our efforts stretch beyond medical care –– we look for innovative ways outside of our hospitals and clinics to improve the health of all, and we partner with organizations in the communities to maximize our reach.
Our World Whether it’s reducing our impact on the environment, researching new cures, changing the way we deliver care or volunteering across the globe, we do our part for a healthier planet.
Description Good health for our people, our patients, our communities and our world — these are not just words. They are commitments that form the core of our mission, and we take them seriously. That mission matches a profound and serious footprint: Legacy Health is a locally owned nonprofit, six-hospital health system that also includes a full-service children’s hospital, a 24-hour mental and behavioral health services center, and more than 70 primary care, specialty and urgent care clinics, 14,000 employees and nearly 3,000 health care providers. We provide comprehensive health care services across the Portland and Vancouver metro area and mid-Willamette Valley and have the most five-star ratings for hospitals in the region. From rural areas to urban centers, we play a critical role in the lives of 2.5 million people.
As one of the largest employers in the area, people trust Legacy with their health and livelihoods. That is why Forbes named Legacy one of the best large employers in America in 2023. That vote of trust also demands that we leave a positive mark on our community beyond the hallways of our hospitals and clinics. As a reflective and open-minded organization, we believe that having a workforce made up of people with different backgrounds, educations, experiences, and values is essential to our success.
Legacy Health has an employee rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars, based on 991 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have a good working experience there. The Legacy Health employee rating is in line with the average (within 1 standard deviation) for employers within the Healthcare industry (3.4 stars).

Mirabella Portland is a proud member of the Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) family of 14 Life Plan Communities dedicated to providing housing and comprehensive support to more than 5,000 seniors in six states. First incorporated in 2007, and opened to residents in 2010, Mirabella Portland was the second Mirabella-brand Life Plan Community developed by PRS. It was designed as a senior-living community where people could make the next chapters of their lives the best chapters of their lives—where age is just a number, and not something that defines who one is or how one feels.
As a not-for-profit organization, all of Mirabella’s funds exceeding operational expenses are reinvested directly into the community. Because there are no shareholders or investors with profit expectations, Mirabella can effectively utilize its funds to enhance the lives of residents by introducing new programs and expanding services.
