Nimbus develops and implements business enterprise software that provides what it calls "virtual business mapping." The company is perhaps best known for having designed a system for UK's National Health System that makes patient records available online at hospitals all over the country. Nimbus' flagship product is Control, an application designed to help companies improve their operational performance as they implement changes. Clients have included Daimler, Orange, Avaya, and the UK's Inland Revenue Service. Nimbus has technology partnerships with Cognos and ActiveStrategy. Founded in 1997 by CEO Ian Gotts, Nimbus was acquired in 2011 by TIBCO Software.
