Greenwood Heating and Home Services was founded in 1921 to serve the Greenwood area of Seattle. We changed ownership several times over the years, until it was purchased by Seattle resident, Michael Porter, in 2004. Michael came from the HVAC industry as a technician. Under his leadership, the company grew over quadruple in size, both in production and in employee base. In 2017, we discovered a newspaper article talking about "Greenwood Furnace" in 1918, changing our known founding date of 1921, to 1918!! We are a residential retrofit HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing company; we install and service heating and air conditioning units in people's homes, electrical components, and fix plumbing issues. We pride ourselves on hiring and training the best technicians, installers, electricians, and office staff in the industry. We have survived two pandemics, a world war, a depression, an economic recession, and many more events. We look forward to serving the greater Seattle area and beyond moving forward.
