Pros

- Members of the public see our 1Password shirts and come tell us how much they love our product. On sales calls prospective business clients tell us how they've been using our consumer product for years and they're a huge fan. It's incredible that a password manager (although it's becoming so much than that) has this kind of following. - The product is leading the pack in the password manager market. - The company genuinely cares about customers (both consumer and corporate). - The senior leadership genuinely care about the staff and treat them more like family. - Employee turnover at 1Password is very low and speaks volumes of what it's like to work here. - We've successfully transitioned from a small team to a rapidly growing enterprise. - Annual Caribbean cruise. Every spring we all get to work together on a cruise ship for a week. This is definitely a highlight, and bears no resemblance to the awkward "forced fun" that other companies conjure up to show off how good their culture apparently is. I hope we can cruise again when the global pandemic has been brought under control.

Cons

It's hard work keeping up with the growth and change. At times it feels like you're changing the world, but there are moments where it's overwhelming as there's so much still to do. If you join 1Password, especially in a more senior role, you will need to be energetic and ready for continuous change. With team members in different time zones, you will be getting emails and DM's all day from dawn to dusk. So it's important to build walls around your time away from the laptop.

Pros

- It's generally remote (only offices in Canada) so the work/life balance is great since your work can be flexible. I never stress about having a doctors appointment during the day. - Lots of visibility with leadership. The founders speak during calls and interact with new team members. - Perks: employer paid benefits for employees and family, 401k matching, annual company conferences, and more! - Growth: the company is growing quickly so there is a lot of room for growth within and across teams

Cons

Being remote has its usual cons - you get close to your team and wish you could work with them in person. The company conferences and regular team meetings help!

Pros

- Remote work - Super flexible hours. - Everyone is so friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand. - Great company culture. - Top notch Canadian benefits package and RRSP plan. - Lots of room to grow within the company and they encourage it.

Cons

- It's a harder to form connections with co-workers since everybody is remote and you don't necessarily work the same hours. - Also hard to get to know people outside of your department.
