I was a big fan of the app and working at 1password was one of the biggest disappointments of my career. I had an extremely incompetent manager and onboarding was non-existent. The manager recruited me by lying to me about the technologies, and it had nothing to do with what was announced. Communication was rare and this company tries to create a sense of belonging, but many managers are toxic. I strongly don't recommend!

Trying to understand company structure and what teams do what; since majority of people are not in an office, it's difficult to build rapport. Hiring manager is awesome but it seems like he in in charge of A LOT more than it seems so we don't get as much insight of what's coming down the pipeline. No benefits though there is a stipend of $300 a month. Would be nice to get $500 to say chiro, $500 to RMT, $500 to physio etc like many tech companies offer (750 in some instances). Pay is low. With how great it is to work here, however, I'm hoping in time it goes up considerably with loyalty but note it is a very competitive market and you will miss out on some talent by being lower than competition right out the gate, especially after getting hundreds of millions as an investment.
