Diversity and Culture
Pros
Company has great culture and diversity. For the most part, they actually show they care about their most valuable asset, the Employee. Pre-COVID, tons of moral boosters, mixers, community events. Cooperate office in MLT you can bring your dog to work with you. Just a fantastic work environment for back end Operations. Raised company wide min wage to be well above average for the general Snohomish County area. They have some of the highest wages I've seen for new people wanting to start a career.
Cons
The one caviat to this company is the seemingly disconnected Departments. You can be very close to the people on your direct team and have a great moral. However, in some instances, each department appears to be working alone or against another department, when they should be working together. In my time at 1SB, I went from back office to front office (Retail). This problem, of departments not being a cohesive unit was most noticeable in Retail. Realistically, this company is growing very rapidly. They have their growing pains like any other company. If you can adapt to the tedious, constantly changing, sometimes contradicting policies, and poor communication between mid-management and each department, you will be successful.
