Very toxic demoralizing Workplace

Pros

The brand itself is meh. That’s as good as it gets

Cons

Everyone and everything. The reason 7Eleven stores look as bad as they do is directly correlated to how bad leadership and managers are at 7Eleven. And the CEO, Joe DePinto is a failure that lacks the awareness to lead. It’s the main reason the organization is being sold off. Never have I seen an organization yell at its store employees

Overworking Culture

Pros

Pay can be good depending on how you were hired in. Bonuses are decent. Decent benefits such as 401k.

Cons

Expectations are unrealistic. They keep putting more and more onto their Area Leaders without regard to how they will be able to get it done. They do not even pretend to offer work-life balance. Any discussion of work-life balance placed the responsibility and blame on the employee.

Pros

You get to work and network with a great group of people. You will learn so much from them and some will help you advance in your career. Just be careful who you trust. There are opportunities, they are just sometimes hard to reach due to regulations they place on you.

Cons

You are overworked. The work never stops, and they combine 2 or roles for you to do on top of your own role. It's hard to trust people, so you have to be careful who you decide in your circle. The new "re-structure" they are doing is a huge problem. B/c they lay-off people and add more work to people who are already there with out a proper raise. Then those current employees are stuck with the golden handcuffs they placed with the "benefits" given. Its really upsetting how corporate America works and views everyone as a number and not as a human.
